A native of Orangeburg, SC, Pastor Davonia Freeman was brought up in the public school system and later received a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree plus 30 hours above in Secondary English Education from South Carolina State University. She became a teacher in the Orangeburg School District.  From an early age, Lady Freeman had been actively involved in ministry at Williams Chapel A.M.E. church in Orangeburg, SC. As she grew and began to form a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Lady Freeman was introduced to the Faith Tabernacle Deliverance Temple Ministries, Orangeburg, SC. There she received Christ and was baptized with the Holy Ghost. The hand of God could now begin to shape her life. It was also in this new ministry and new move of God that Lady Freeman would meet and
marry Evangelist Van Dyke Freeman who was also the Minister of Music of the Faith Tabernacle Deliverance Temple Ministries, Inc. To this union was born five children:  Van Jr., Tonya, Ronella, Arturo, and Craig. Pastor and First Lady Freeman are also the proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren, Allerik, Jordon, Jade, Alexis, Laila, Rakeem, Quincy, Braxton, Josh, Jonathan, and Joel. They also have seven great grandchildren, Maddox, Josiah, Kyndall, Chance, Aiden, Genesis, and Leia.
While in the Faith Tabernacle Deliverance Temple Ministries, Lady Freeman began her training in kingdom building. She served on several auxiliaries including the Mass Choir, the Women’s Department Planning Committee, the Hospitality Committee, and as an intercessor. When the time came, Lady Freeman was asked to serve as president of the Women’s Department. It was then that she knew that God had placed a special
anointing in her life that would minister to women and help to bring them into a spiritual maturity in the kingdom of God. While Lady Freeman served as president of the Women’s Ministry, Evangelist Van Freeman was elevated to Co-Pastor of the ministry.
Serving faithfully in their positions, God began to impress upon them the urgency to launch out and pursue the “call” to pastoral-ship. Answering this “call” would lead Pastor and Lady Freeman and family to Charlotte, NC where Pastor Freeman would be used to organize the Emmanuel Tabernacle Center of Hope Church and ministries on March 24, 2002.
Presently, Lady Davonia Freeman pastors alongside her husband Apostle Van Dyke Freeman, Sr. who is senior Pastor of the current Emmanuel World Evangelistic Outreach, Pineville, NC. She has been teaching English for 33 years and is now retired after teaching in the Rock Hill School and Charlotte Mecklenburg School Districts. Her passion for educating students yet lingers on for she is in pursuit of opening an afterschool program, the J & T Learning Academy. Pastor Davonia is anointed and appointed by
God. God has given her an extraordinary word ministry with power and demonstration!
She is an energized, last –day prayer warrior who has been brought forth to the kingdom for such a time as this. Pastor Davonia Freeman’s ministry demonstrates a joy and enthusiasm for Jesus Christ. You will know her by her praise! For she knows that the best is yet to come! Amen.
